Featured Stamper - Dorcas

Happy Saturday and welcome to another featured stamper post here at Whimsy Stamps!

This week we want to share a couple cards made by Whimsy customer Dorcas! Dorcas has a fun blog called Dorcas Designs and it's filled with lots of beautiful cards and creations.

Today I want to show you two of her recent Whimsy Stamps creations using the digital stamps Love Bunnies and Beach Baby Jayme.

First is Love Bunnies...
I love the way she's colored the image and the popped up and framed it using Nesties. The yellow flower is a great pop of color too! To read more about this card on Dorcas's blog, please click HERE.

Next is her card using the digital freebie Beach Baby Jayme....
This card has such cheerful colors and papers and the stitching details are fabulous! Love the layout and accent details! To read more about this card, please click HERE.

Thanks for sharing a bit of Whimsy with us today Dorcas! If you too would like to share your creations or be a featured stamper here at Whimsy Stamps, please contact us!

Have a great weekend!

Happy Stamping,

Proud to be different

Hello everyone, Simonne here again!  Hope you're well this glorious Friday morning?

Almost a month ago, I showed you a card that I'd made using the fabulous 'Proud To Be' carousel horse stamp, and using the American flag colours of red, white & blue - here's a little reminder:

For my card today, I thought it would be a nice idea to share another card that I made using the same stamp but using entirely different colours so that you can compare the 2 cards and hopefully see how versatile this stamp is (especially for our non-US Whimsy fans!):

For this card I used paper from my Basic Grey 'Green at Heart' 6x6 paper pad and lots and lots of my favourite embellie - flatback pearls!

Here at Whimsy, we're beavering away behind the scenes preparing for our new digi release on July 1st!  We have some AMAZING new images to share with you, and perhaps a little blog hop and a new monthly challenge too!!  And of course our new DT members officially start their DT term on July 1st - I'm sure you're all as excited as we are to see their Whimsy creations!

Thank you for popping by today!  I hope you've enjoyed my little bit of Whimsy inspiration!  Wishing you a wonderful weekend, whatever you're up to!

Hugs,

Whimsy gift bag

The thing I love most about digital images is that you make them as large or as small as you want, which means they are suitable for all different kinds of projects.  I like a larger image on a gift bag as I want it to stand out, Whimsy's 'Maya making wishes' was so perfect for this project!  She was designed by Crissy Armstrong and is so sweet!
Isn't Ann Vento's ticket stamp also so perfect with Maya?
I can't wait till next Thursday to see what all the artists have designed!
Hope you will be joining in the new digi release on the 1st July too!

Hang in There

Hello!

Today I have a special card to share which is also part of a special blog hop! Whimsy Stamps has joined our Senior Designer Erin in her endeavor to bring some smiles and warm wishes to Bella Tucker. You can read all about the campaign HERE on Erin's blog. Each Tuesday for the next 4 weeks there will be little mini blog hops and prizes to be won all in an effort to help send some smiles to Bella! We hope you will join us and share the Wishes for Bella badge on your blog and then make and send a card to Bella.

This is my card for the hop today, which began on my blog Stamping with Denise. I've used the digital stamp Hang in There with some girlie pinks and reds.

I've used some SU! papers and designer prints and a lace doily with my circle Nesties. I also embossed the layer behind the image. The image was colored with Copics and then cut out and popped up with foam tape. I've embellished with sticky pearls, lots of flowers, and two "Happy Mail" Ticket sentiments from Whimsy Stamps.

I hope you'll join our hop and cause to help Bella! Thanks for visiting today. Happy Stamping!

Whimsy Welcomes

Good Morning!

I just have a quick post today to share with you the new members of our Whimsy Stamps DT! Our call ended last Friday and we have chosen 5 new gals to join our team and create with us for the next 6 months!

Lori of Just Ducky

Nathalie of  Les Brico-Decos

Welcome ladies! We are very excited to have each of you on our design team and can't wait to see your Whimsy creations!

I will be back shortly with a card for a special blog hop! Please join me at Noon EST today! See you then!

Happy Stamping,

Swinging Emma

Hey everyone!  It's my turn to share some Whimsy Inspiration with you today, and I have a brand new card to show that I finished literally 30 minutes ago!

I've used one of the May release Whimsy Digi stamps called "Emma Swinging" - she is available to download instantly from the Whimsy Store along with all the other scrumptious Whimsy digi stamps (and of course Whimsy rubber ... although you'll have to wait for your postie to deliver those, LOL!).

I've decided that I'm going to have to tidy up my crafty stash, as I'm just shoving things in my Ikea storage unit at the moment and consequently it's very difficult to find stuff quickly and efficently!  Although I don't have a huge amount of stash, I am finding that I'm forgetting stuff that I've 'hidden' away, like this fairly new DCWV Garden Variety stack that I've used for today's card. So I think a trip to Ikea is necessary (urghh!) plus I'm going to have to spend some pennies on some 12x12 paper storage and a good system for storing stamps., baskets for punches, etc. etc - you know the drill!  I do have my buttons and nesties sorted and stored ... well it's a start, LOL!

I've followed this fortnight's fab sketch from Truly Scrumptious (in its mirror-image) -Whimy Stamps is sponsoring this challenge, so do pop along and join in to be in with a chance of winning a $15 Whimsy gift certificate!  Talking of sponsorship and challenges, I can also give you the heads up that Whimsy is sponsoring tomorrow's new Creative Card Crew challenge!  So two chances to win some Whimsy goodies this week!

Well, I think that's quite enough of my ramblings for one day, hee hee!  Wishing you a wonderful day, whatever you're up to, and look forward to seeing you here again tomorrow for some more Whimsy inspiration!

Thanks for popping by!

Hugs,

Featured Stamper - Noela and Deb

Good Morning!

Happy Saturday! Sorry I missed our featured stamper post last week, I got so busy that I totally forgot! I hope to make up for it today by sharing a couple featured stampers with you!

First we have Noela! Noela's husband Steven recently emailed me with a card Noela created using Shy Ann from our Mythical Rubber Stamp Collection. I was touched that he cared so much about Noela and her design that he wanted me to see. Now that's one wonderful hubby! And Noela's card is beautiful and shiny and all things girlie!

I love the pretty purples and pinks and all that glitter! This card sparkles perfectly! Thanks to Noela and Steven for sharing this fun and sparkly card with us!

Next we have Deb of Deb's Creations! Deb is also one of our Whimsy Stamps retailers and the owner of Deb's Creations. She carries a huge variety of crafty goodies in her online shop based in Australia!

Deb has created these two fun cards using 2 of Whimsy's very first rubber stamps....

Whimsy Duck

Whimsy Turtle
Both of these stamps can be found in our Animals Collection in our shop. The papers and layouts are both fabulous and I love the pretty details on each of these cards! Thanks for sharing with us Deb!

We hope you have a wonderful and maybe even whimsical weekend! If you would like to be a featured stamper here at Whimsy, please contact us to share your Whimsy Stamps creations!

Happy Stamping!

Strawbeary Fairy.....

Hello today I have a card to share with you using the Digi image "Strawbeary Fairy" from Meljen's Designs , it's available right now. When I first saw this image I knew I had the right papers for it, My Minds Eye!

I colored my image with Copic Markers, took me quite some time to achieve the look I wanted! I added lot's of glitter to the strawberry, Fairy's Wings and all around my card, it just shimmers!!

I hope you enjoy my card and have a GREAT Friday!!

Fairytale Creations!

Good Morning Everyone, Happy Thursday...I wanted to share a couple of cards with you that I made with the Meljen's Designs Digi Collection. I just LOVE these new fairytale images and had a blast using them. Hope you enjoy my creations!!

For this card I used the Woodland Princess...Isn't she beautiful...I used lots of pearls on this, I loved adding pearls to her dress and her necklace. To finish it off I used flourish pearls on the bottom.

I don't like pearls do I??? LOL...For this creation I used this adorable Princess Mouse. When I think of princesses I think Pink. I couldn't get enough pink on this card!!! For both of my creations I shared today I used Basic Grey Paper. One of my all time favs....

Hope you enjoy and thanks so much for popping over today!!! Everyone have a GREAT Thursday!

Gruffy little gnome

Hi Everyone Today it is my turn to share a fun image from Whimsy stamps with you. I hope you have your sunglasses ,lol I have used the cute Gruffy little gnome digi Image designed by Meljen for, Whimsy Stamps I just love the expression on his face, lol

He has been coloured using copic ciaos, and the fab DP is from the cosmo cricket Delovely mini Deck, the sentiment is an inkadinkadoo Kid's Quotes.

Two of the Seven Dwarfs- Happy and Grumpy

Happy Tuesday Everyone!! Today it is my turn to share a fun image from Whimsy.

I would like to share a card I made using a Whimsy Digital image from the Meljen's Digital Collection called Gruffy Little Gnome. The sentiment is from Ticket Sentiments designed by Ann Vento of Raindrop Echo Designs for Whimsy. I seldom do cards for men but I needed a Thinking of you or Get Well card for an older gentleman at our church who has been very ill and in out of the hospital. I thought this image was so darling and would put a smile on his face.

For my layout, I used the Midnight Madness sketch challenge for this week which I flipped. The papers are from Bo Bunny. The image is colored with Prisma Color pencils and gamsol and sparkle is added to the hat. For the ovals along the thin strip I added sewing and buttons. You can see it better if you click on the photo for a close up.

Since it is a manly card, I used the Labels Eight Spellbinders and distressed the edges. For the sentiment, there is a blank ticket in the Ticket sentiments set where hand wrote the word Sorry.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Gruffy Little Gnome and Ticket Sentiments
Paper: Bo Bunny designer paper
Accessories: MS punch, bayou blue grosgrain ribbon, black grosgrain ribbon (3/4 inch wide), sewing machine, silver baubles, buttons from stash, copper brads, label eight die from spellbinders.

Here is yet another image using one of the Meljen's Design's digital images, Happy Little Gnome that I created last week. I used the Truly Scrumptious Sketch (Whimsy is the sponsor for two weeks, this is the last week for this particular challenge).

Stamps: Meljen's Design's digital images, Happy Little Gnome, Ticket Sentiments designed by Ann Vento of Raindrop Echo Designs for Whimsy
Paper: Basic Grey- Origins and Marakech
Accessories: White crocheted lace, prisma pencils, gamsol, heart charm, silver baubles, distressed stripes spellbinders, soft swirls, distresser, Standard Circle Nestabilities.

I hope you enjoyed my creations. Thanks for stopping by today!

blessings,
Chris

ohhhhhhhh Yummy !

I thought since the weather here in England has been so hot that id post some strawberries for you !
Yummy !!
Meljen has designed for whimsy some fabulous digitals  and i just could not resist merging them together and making a fimo fairy to match it ! I even made a charm for it too.
I used Ann's  Fantastic Ticket sentiments - i adore them they are so versitile !

they were very easy to merge together and Ann has done some amazing tutorials on this , on the whimsy tutorial page - HERE
The great thing about digis is that you can resize them to whatever size you need , I made the strawberry fairy alittle smaller to hold the ticket stamp and i created lots of layers and textures on the card punched out blooms and netting.

Hope you all have a great week !
love

A Woodland Fairy

Hello! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!  Today I'm here to share a card I made using the MelJen's Digital "Woodland Fairy."  I just loved coloring her!  I also used the Ticket Sentiment as a pullout tab feature.  Hope you like it!

Beach Babe! and Digi Hop WINNER!!!!

Today I want to remind you about a fabulous digi image which is still available at Whimsy and it's FREE! Crissy Armstrong created this sassy Beach Baby Jayme image for our DT member Lisa's sister Jayme. Sadly, Jayme was recently diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and so Lisa is asking for our help to send her sister some smiles. You can find all the details of Lisa's RAK request on her blog, HERE.

If you would like to download this image, you can visit the Whimsy Store site or click this link to be taken to the direct download link. Please remember not to share digital stamp files even when they are free. Instead tell all your friends how they can get this image too and how they can help Lisa!

Now for the winner of the hop....

Love Bunnies

Hello Everyone,
Today I want to share a card I made recently using one of the fantastic Whimsy digi images.
These are the 'Love Bunnies' by Katie Sowa and, as we're now into the wedding season, it seemed a good idea to remind everyone that this is a fabulous image to use on those wedding cards. It's great for anniversaries and engagements too. If you haven't got this one already, hop over to the store and pop it in your shopping basket; you'll be really glad that you did.

Hugs,
Sharon xx

Featured Stamper - Marion

Good Morning!

It's always fun to surf around blog land looking for new creations and today we have one using the digital freebie designed by Crissy Armstrong in an effort to help share some smiles with our DT member Lisa's sister who is dying of lung cancer. This image is called Beach Baby Jayme and is available for free download on the Whimsy Shop page.

Marion's blog, Cards by Me, is filled with wonderful creations in lots of various styles. She wanted to help  bring a smile to Jayme's face and so has created this fun and fabulous card....I have to say, I just love the sentiment!

Fantastic card Marion, one I'm sure will make Jayme giggle! To read more about this card, please click HERE.

And if you would like to help Lisa in her RAK request for her sister, please check out her post HERE.

Good times!

Hello everyone! Ann here :)  Hope you're all having a wonderful Thursday!  Who's ready for the weekend?

Have you gotten a chance to check out the new releases from Tuesday already?  If not, I have a creation to share with you using one of Meljen's Designs newest images at Whimsy Stamps.  The image on my card is called Gruffy Little Gnome.  I thought this image was perfect for a boy's card.  I also thought it would be funny to pair him up with this "good times" sentiment from the new Ticket Sentiments.

Remember, you still have a chance to join in on the new release blog hop (click here to go to the post to start the hop) and to join in on the monthly challenge (click here to see the challenge post).

See you back here soon!
